Well yesterday MLP FIM invaded another hobby, the pinewood derby. So the manufacturing engineering department at my school was hosting the derby, which was quite amusing because it was nothing but engineering students competing. They did a regulation race and a no rules race. I did get a place in the no rules division, considering one student put an electric ducted jet on their car and cleared the track in under 2 seconds (to put that in perspective, a normal but really really fast time is about 3.1 seconds). It's hard to describe how awesome that looked. However, this little car got second in the regulation race, now I picture of it will be placed on the bulletins of the engineering building for the whole year. All things considered it's probably not that cool, but it made me feel pretty legit. They plan on doing it again next year, and I think I'll be able to beat that jet car next time. I think that creation when it's made will be called the Pinewood Derpy, simply because the pun would be irresistible.
Sweet.......a GTP Proto Type!!!
That's interesting, Good job!
Rainbow dash has blessed you xD
It seems so, we'll have to see in Derpy blesses me next year, as that'll likely be the theme for my car when we do this again.
That is rainbow dashs cutie mark!!!
Yes, I thought it would be fitting. I actually got an average time of under 3.1 seconds, which is pretty darn fast for the pinewood derby. Which I'm quite pleased with.
